Hello,

I have seen in several instances where a spell, feat, ability, etc... gives a warbeast or warjack free power attacks. The one that comes to mind off the top of my head is Kharchev's feat, where the warjack can run, charge, and make power attacks without spending focus. I understand that a warjack affected by this ability can only make a single charge/run/trample since those are all movement based but what is the limit on other power attacks (headbutts and weapon locks for instance). My friends and I have been playing under the assumption that you can probably only gain a single extra power attack from this ability. But if anyone knows the answer for certain could you please cite the page number in the appropriate rulebook? Thank you!

Abilities which allow you to make power attacks without spending focus do not remove the 'cost' involved that require you to forfeit your initials in order to make a power attack (i.e. its not completely 'free'). This is a requirement for all power attacks (charges are not power attacks btw) not sure on the exact page number but it will be right at the start of the power attack rules. Since you can only forfeit your initials once you can only ever make a single power attack per model per turn (and I can't think of any combination in the game which would allow multiple power attacks), it doesn't matter if you paid a focus/fury for it or not.

To add to what Powerguy said, the part you're looking for is on page 48 of Primal, under the "Actions" header (and, specifically, the "Combat Actions" subheader). The gist is that when you choose to make a combat action you have several options - you can either make your initial melee attacks, make your initial ranged attacks, make a special attack or make a power attack. You don't actually "forfeit" your initials per se, they're just one of the options you choose from when you make your combat action, exclusive with making a power attack.
