So with the khorne daemon Kin book right around the corner, it sparks a very important question; what about the original chaos codex? I mean it seems like a really good idea to have the chaos books split up into their certain gods because of fluff and such but will it pave over the old chaos codex? For me I've always wanted to kind of start a chaos army but it's more for my friend who has about 2700 points of chaos. Sure he can still use the same models but he's concered about re buying a ton of books and wanting a chaos warband with a diverse amount of chaos such as nurgle marines and berserkers or something. Idk if you guys have heard anything but it was just a thought that occurred.

I don't know about a new codex: CSM soon but I hope there will be. Until then I'll just likely continue using my 6th edition codex. Not really interested in the daemons even though I am a Khorne player for fluff. I'll definitely wait until I hear good things about the codex, or something that convinces me I need it.

Khorne Daemon mono lists were meh.
Chaos Space Marines are meh.
This codex makes them less so, but mostly I think it was a way to pimp $116 Bloodthirsters.

Why just include the rules in a White Dwarf when you can sell a $50 codex to go with it ?

If they have the $116 to burn on another Blood Thirsters, they can probaly afford the $50 for the codex

The thing I'm most interested in is to see if they tweak Khorne Berserkers and Possessed Marines. Both are in major need of a buff, or a points reduction at least.
