So I recently purchased some Blight Drones from Forgeworld in an attempt to add some firepower to my otherwise assault-only Daemon force. BS2 hurts, but for Blasts it's not overly bad (more scatter, but large blasts mitigate that somewhat) and the Template weapon is fine with it. Twin Linked on the Reaper Autocannon also makes up for it.

Does anyone have experience playing with/against these guys? Hover Flyers with 48" guns and 36" Battle Cannons seems like a perfectly good shooting unit, even for a 150pt price tag. Able to zip around, put out pretty good firepower, and have a 2+ Jink if you need that sort of thing to happen. Are they actually good?

They are pretty great. just keep a few things in mind.
*The models are tiny and low to the ground. This means you should never have to jink and should always have a 2+ or 3+ cover save from terrain. They have enough range that they don't usually need to go out in the open and any time you jink your remove most of your firepower.
*Their AA is pretty meh. If you are going to use them for AA then feel free to jink a lot. The biggest advantage they have in terms of AA is they can drop to hover to get rear armour shots and with a 2+ cover save they don't die that easily.
*They are low enough to the ground to claim objectives. This is very rare for a flyer model.
*DS helps a lot to start on the board in the rear armour arcs or vehicles. This can make a big difference when you have an enemy flyer on the table as you can usually get ~2 turns before the opponent's flyer can effectively target your drones. Alternatively the rear AV10 flyers are not so hard to take down when you can DS in their rear arc. The unit's foot print is small enough that this isn't hard to do.

I've run my single Khorne Drone in a dozen or so games now, and found it to be a pretty pleasant little airsupport beastie.
Spoiler:

I've never had a problem with it's low BS, the blast, template, and twin linking all help to make it a pretty average shooter. Situationally, its very versatile, being able to sling blasts across the table, or lay down close support template fire for your assault elements. The jink is really very good, but doesnt feel broken as they only have two hullpoints. If enough fire is dedicated at them, they will go down to the few lucky hits that get through.
Be careful when hovering that you are plenty far enough away from enemy units. They might have a 2+ save, but they'll die like nothing to any sort of assault.
Never used more than one, but a 2 or 3 would certainly put the hurt on.

great conversion!

I've always meant to run blight drones. I even made a giant one to use as a helldrake, but never managed to get any little ones..
