I think the fact that grey knights have librarians is funny because in every other chapter, they are psychic specialists. But all grey knights are psychic, so how do they regard brothers who are psychic-- er? Every squad has a brotherly bond and that allows them to channel their power to a justicar, but do librarians have something similar, or are they more removed from the chapter? Is psychic power like that of a librarian something that is feared? I know normal space marine librarians are aloof and removed from the chapter because the presence of a psyker makes non- psykers uneasy, but since every grey knight is psychic to some extent, do they feel different about their librarians?

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

IIRC they're still somewhat aloof because they're separated from their squads and trained differently. The Emperors Gift touched on this a bit, very good read if you're in a Grey Knight mood

"This."

"Oh- oh- that- that guy's kinda of the wallpaper now, isn't he?"

On moon miranda.

While all Grey Knights are psykers, most aren't terribly powerful ones. Hence why entire squads are treated as single level 1 psykers.

Librarians are much more powerful, experienced, and learned psykers than just any joe schmoe GK.

While a GK squad can channel their combined powers through their weapons for some things, the Librarian is the guy that can summon the Vortex of Doom Basic GK's are much less powerful and have access to a far smaller array of powers. The librarian is the guy with the PHd in Psyker Stuff, the grunt GK's graduated Psyker Community College.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

GK librarians are more powerful and experienced, but how are they regarded by other grey knights? vanilla SM chapters are iffy about psykers and keep their librarians at arm's length because of fear of the unknown, but to some extent, normal battle- brothers are aware of what librarians go through. Do you think GK librarians are more respected because of their higher status as command staff and as more powerful psykers or feared because of all of the secret knowledge they must have?
