GORKAMORKA


I have managed to get my mits upon an unbuilt and usused copy of Gorkamorka. My local club has reacted to this by suddenly finding greenskins they never knew they had and looking at me with a teef filled grin expectantly. Which means of course i need to build and paint a gorkamorka gang. I'm also going to build and complete the original box set so i can enjoy that near two decade old goodness





and the first model in line for Kustomisation is this trukk. By the time i'm done it'll be even more orky

Almost 2 decades yes.

Gorka Morka looks like a pretty cool game. I always enjoy reading about it when I look over my old white dwarfs.

Once you guys get to playing, it would be cool to see some pics/ battle reports.

I'll try sort that out, i'm certain we can get some gaming pics once it kicks off.

Started working on my gork gang today. I've got alot of fiddlying and modifying before any of them is complete but i'd say the basics were there.

After the wave of nostalgia that was my first reaction also

Loved this game. The conversions look brilliant and the modern orks look even better suited to the GorkaMorka setting than the originals.

Do you plan to add Diggas, Rebel Grots and Muties in the future or will this be strictly orks only for the time being?


I really, really wish I still had the six foot tall cardboard display the manager at my old GW gave me after the initial release. I cut it up so I could hang the GorkaMorka sign on the wall but it was so heavy I would have needed nails!!!

I've got origional gorkamorka stuff and never took interest in it.. now I just want to give them some love!

Oh I gotta see this, I GOT to see this! I've always loved the idea of "Borderlands, but with Orks as the protagonists"-sorta fluff Gorkamorka had going on!

Yeah, Modern Ork models will make this game really shine. I'm looking forward to see what you get done with it!

Oh holy wow balls that is a lot of replies!! Thank you guys i hope i can keep you entertained and interested.

Hopefully i can answer some of your stuff below, i've put together a brief explination of what my gang is going to be.

The theme for this ork force is simple; Flashgit freebooters in the making. It is why i've chosen nob sized models as the base for everything but my yoofs (who are normal boys in this army). So my army is pretty much going to be dakka in trukks, dakka in shoes, dakka in all forms. To that end during the play testing i'm going to be trying out a shielded combat ork and if he doesn't work out i'm going to be replacing him with another shoota boy. Now for the weekends update. I have alot of other project commitments at the moment so the orks are taking a small back burner for two weeks. I have however built my first 3d scrap counters and found a digganob.

Looking good. How much more enhanced GM would have been had all of these excellent bits been available. Is that a huge skull on the leftmost scrap pile?

It's off the ogre scrap laucher, it's kind of a half-skull made out of scrap panels.

Da Skargate is finished, just need to clean up a few bits of lose glue then paint it.

It's taken me a very very very long time to finish this model, mostly because i kept looting it and improving it. Then i'd loot it again and add more detail, hence the impressive kit count

now i just need to paint him.
