I just wanted to take the opportunity to show off my kustom, kitbashed deff dred. I really can't tell you how many pieces went into this thing's construction. Hundreds, at least. The kustom megablasta is cobbled together from a dozen pieces on its own. The torso is a series of plasticard pieces that I originally had glued together with the intention of scratchbuilding a Warboss in mega armor, but the chest turned out to be too large. Even after finally completing this monster, I've since discovered my deff dred is slightly larger than the average store-bought dred. Mine has a lot more love (and my blood) in it than any ol' store bought dred would've had, though...feedback appreciated!

Thanks for looking!

Nice. I especially like the axe for some reason, probably just because it looks so cool.

Perhaps needs a bit more dakka though?!

And that, children, was the Deff Dread that love made.. ANYWAY, a really excellent model, doesn't look very clunky though, but apart from that, excellent, and a cool paint job to finish

Beautiful work! It is obvious you put a lot of time and effort into this bad boy. Keep up the good work.

I prefer that model to the GW dread! That kustom mega blasta is amazing - how did you make the ammo belt/ power supply leading into it?

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!

I really like how you made the claw from the Deffkopta rotors! I'm probably gonna steal that idea for my own guy!

Orkses is never defeated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!

@migs6537: I think I used 18 gauge wire (I don't recall the exactgauge, but Iit's probably 18). It's 2 lengths of wire, 1 wrapped more or less haphazardly around the other.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Here is a Zzap wagon. Forgeworld used to make a pretty simple Ork wagon with options to mount a Zzap gun, Lobba, or Kannon and either a big shoota or a rokkit on it. This is a conversion of one of those, made with an old skool rhino and one of the sponson turrets from the forgeworld battlefortress. I don't think I've ever bought a vehicle kit with the intention of actually using it to make the vehicle that came in it. It's all just parts to me.

I'll be putting up PIP shots of this thing and my Looted Wagon in my Orks-in-Progress thread - linked below in my signature - over the course of the next few days. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the feedback! That's pretty much exactly how it was built. I think I even used sheets of plastic from a "no trespassing" sign.
