I'm hoping I've missed something here, so hopefully someone out there can answer this for me. I'm currently trying to paint a Rune Priest, and as I decided early on this was going to be quite a fluff based army, I'm trying to get all the shoulder pads right. Due to this I'm currently unsure how the left shoulder pad on a Rune Priest should be painted. I've looked through the current codex, and the 5th? Edition one, and they seem to suggest that it wouldn't be the normal great company colours etc, but also I can't find anything that would say what they should be. Frustratingly all the images in the codex show the model from the front so you can't see the left shoulder pad due to the models pose. Can anyone help me with this

I don't know a whole lot of Space Wolves fluff, but the Rune Priest page on the GW site has a 360 degree shot that shows the left pauldron.

It should have the horned skull symbol of the Librarius, but since Wolves are all a bunch of heretics, it probably has a personal rune of some sort.

Mate I had the same dilema with my 13th Coy and the SW Great Coy I'm working on. 13th Coy I could really do whatever I wanted but the Great Coy one was a little more difficult. If I can be honest just do whatever you feel best fits, I've had good comments for both and the usual critic who pick holes in it for various reasons. If the fluff is to be believed then each Coy has it's own traditions, all of which can be changed by the Coy Wolf Lord. As long as you're happy go for it.

Various Armies, from 2k to 4k.
