Back from Adepticon, so finally time to take pictures of my army. I've spent the last 6 months putting this together. Enjoy!

Total Army with crappy display board! 1850 points!

Fortification: Aegis Defense Line: 50 points

Centurion in Terminator Armor with Solarite Power Gauntlet and Vigil Pattern Storm Shield: 110

Templar Brethren x7, Combat Shield x7, Solarite Power Gauntlet, Land Raider Phobos (Dedicated Transport), Pintle Mounted Twin-Linked Bolter, Armored Ceremite: 545

With centurion!

Tactical Squad Alpha with Artificer Armor, Power Sword, and Rhino: 205

Tactical Squad Beta with Artificer Armor, Power Sword, and Rhino: 205

Mortis Contemptor Dreadnought with 2x Kheres Pattern Assault Cannons: 180

Heavy Support Squad 1 with 5x Missile Launchers: 160

Heavy Support Squad 1 with 5x Missile Launchers: 160

Heavy Support Squad 3 with 5x Lascannons: 235

I had tons of fun and had 1 win, 1 tie, and 2 losses. Ah well. It was a great event run by excellent TOs! I would gladly play again!

That's a beautiful army. I'm holding onto hope for plastic 30k to make my Emperor's Children. The shield loss great btw

Great looking army, Kronk!

Do you think there's anything you would change about your army now that you have some games under your belt?

Awesome, loving the recent trend in seeing more heresy era armies coming into circulation

The Templar Brethren were a little "too good". In all four games, I destroyed whatever unit I assaulted, and then stood there and got shot up by every other unit in my opponent's army.

The Land Raider got a lot of attention, as I expected it would. It did deliver the troops before getting blown up, though.

However, the Heavy Support Squads having Tank Hunters and hiding behind the Aegis Defense Line was aces!

Lovely work. Do you mind if I ask how much this army cost? Pre-Heresy armies seem so much more expensive yet it seems that you don't need as many models for one.

I haven't put a price on it, actually. I bought it piece by piece over the past year, and didn't benefit from the bundles. They didn't have the Tactical Squad + Rhino discount bundle when I got mine, for example. Nor did they have the Imperial Fists Strike Force. Ah, well.

Templar Brethren upgrade kit x2 44
Imperial Fists MKIII Pads x4 38
Heavy Support Squad MKIII x3 70.5
ML Set x2 25
Lascannon Set x1 12.5
IF Contemptor Dread 34
Contemptor AssCanon x2 18
IF MKIII Heads x1 11.5
IF Torsos x1 11.5
MKIC Deimos Rhino x2 70
MKIIB Land Raider 69
Legion Praetors 31.5
Black Templar MKIIB LR Doors 12
MKIII Iron Armor (Tacticals) x4 94

Total: 541.5 British Pound Moneys or $800US. Plus 6 months of my free time painting it.

How many points does it come to ingame terms?

Bumblebee Legion ahoy!

Looks pretty great, though correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Templar Brethren shields go with their pistols? Its a little odd to see them attached to their melee weapons.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Really good job on the army! It looks like you've really taken your time and painted each figure to your best standard. It is therefore a bit unfortunate that the pictures did not come out crisp and clear. Don't get me wrong, I can see all the details but the shadow and brightness of light your lamp is casting prevents us from truly appreciating the beauty of your paint job. If I may let me give you a quick idea about photographing models.

When photographing minis you want to use either a white light bub or a mix of white/yellow bulbs because as it is, the light is giving everything a yellow tint. You also don't want to have it too close to your minis because the intensity of the light washes out colors, and creates shadows, something that's happening here. I prefer to use diffused white light, not shining directly, passing through a screen, and at least 3 sources of light; One above, two on the side of the models. Lastly, I would utilize a tripod on your camera and set a delay for the shutter so that the camera is perfectly still when you take pictures, making them crystal clear, showing us all the details in the models.

There are many tutorials on photography, and when you've dedicated 6 months of your life to painting these up, I think its worth it to get good pictures as well so we can all really appreciate your hard work. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the picture advice. It's been a while since I've taken miniature pictures. I'm woefully out of practice.

These look great kronk! Always nice to have a fully painted army to take to a big GT isn't it?

I like the bucklers as is btw.
