Hello everyone, I'm just setting upon the task of getting into this hobby. Currently reading through the 7th edition rules. About to pick my first army (thinking Grey Knights or Dark Angels). I live in Texas in DFW,
If anyone else is from that same area. Hello!

Welcome! As a new player to 7th ed, I found the best thing was to drop in a store, let people know you're newer, and throw down a few 500 pt games.

People I've come across tended to be very welcoming and excited to teach. Just listen/learn/have a good time with your first games.

Before I knew it, the hit/wound/saves felt like second nature. Knowing your statlines is super useful, as most seasoned players will be able give you the appropriate numbers to roll given your stats.

Hope this helps, and hope you choose an army you like!

(PS, chaos, always go chaos. skull/blood/etc. unless you want to win)

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
