Thought I would start a painting log to show the progress I'm making on my Harlequin army. I have a bunch of 4e models that are already painted over 10 years ago, but I want to refresh my collection to the new model line.
I've started with a box of Troupes. These are mostly done. I still need to work on mohawks, mask highlights, weapons, gems and the like, but the general gist of the scheme is captured here.
It may be the picture quality, but I personally use blue glaze in the recess of the white for shading. I think there are betters ways to do it maybe, but its given my masks some better depth than plain white.
Aside from the Troupe Master model, I haven't done any recessed painting on the masks yet. I admittedly screwed up the Troupe Master. Not the right choice to have that be my first model painted.
I like the blue idea, though. Will definitely explore it. What about purple or green?
Yea I suppose any colour could work. I just did blue because thats what I was told. I guess since us Harlequin players have hundreds of masks it doesnt hurt to try out some colours and see how they look.
