Can a marked Chaos Sorcerer take Lore of Undeath? Or is he still limited to the lores allowed by his mark?

Lore of Undeath was added to EVERYONE'S spell lists, per End Times: Nagash.

The question comes from fact that usually a chaos sorcerers lores are restricted by his god.

Tzeentch = Tizz and Metal
Nurgle = Nurgle and Death
Slaanesh = Slaany and Shadow

So can I only take Undeath unmarked? Or can I take a mark and still keep the lore because everyone has access to it?

Interesting question. Here's the quote from Warrior of Chaos.

Chaos sorcerers are Wizards, and use spells from one of the following: the Lore of Death, the Lore of Fire, the Lore of Metal or the Lore of Shadow. A chaos Sorcerer with the Mark of Tzeench, Nurgle or Slaanesh must use either the Tzeench or the Lore of Metal, the Lore of Nurgle or the Lore of Death, or the Lore of Slaanesh or the Lore of Shadow, respectively.

I think it's best to come too agreement in your meta on how it will be played. A lot of areas aren't using lore of undeath or end times magic anyway, so I'd just add this to the list of questions.
Honestly though, I'd be happy to see undeath over some of those other options (death or slaanesh).

As long as you are allowing lore of undeath you can take it.

That's right out of Nagash. There is no argument here, if you are playing with lore of undeath any wixzard can take it.

If someone tries to argue armybook overrides BRB Nagash is not BRB, it is it's own army book essentially & being more recent I would say it trumps any other restrictions.

Besides if you try to argue that way then NOBODY can take undeath because it isn't one of the 8 basic lores.

The argument against it is that while a chaos sorcerer without a mark "Can choose to generate spells from lore of undeath" a wizard of slaanesh MUST choose Slaanesh or Shadow.
It's a can vs a must.

I'm in the camp of marked sorcerers CAN use undeath, as that's clearly RAI and there's just enough ambiguity even when considering RAW.

That said, there's not a lot of reason to actually DO it with a Chaos army.
