I'm thinking that the Nyss and Rocinante are great ranged threats at 25pts (and both can mix it up when they get into melee range). The Kayazy with fortune and the feat could be really stellar.

Kell is there to take out things that just gotta go, and Orin for spell denial and chain lightning.

So is this crazy, decent, OMG that's just stupid and I should feel stupid?

I'm assuming at 25pts this is for a friendly game?

Do you know what your opponent is running?

What if you come up against a 'jack heavy list?

I'm not overly familar with mercs so this is more of a general enquiry out of general interest on my behalf!

I'm jumping into a league at a new store. It's just about all new players there. I havnt played a 25pt game in forever, it feels like I'm shoe horning pieces in. This is more of an all comers list, not something against anything in particular.

Jack heavy at 25pts isn't that big a deal. Roci can soften up a heavy at range and finish it off with pow 17 mat 6 reach.
Nyss hunters are weapons masters (not really fair to new player but oh well) and can shoot lights off the table with CRA and honestly if they are running all jacks, the Kayazy are gonna have a field day playing trap the caster...
