I recently picked up this ruleset and I really love simple mechanics. Similiar to say Mordheim, it uses warbands, random actions, experience, and has a campaign mode. A Gothic Horror setting in the Victorian age. I recently set up a facebook group dedicated to this game. If you're interested in gothic horror please stop by.. https://www.facebook.com/groups/964903873529620/

I have completed my Werewolf Pack Leader..

Wolves

And my 3 werewolves. Each painted in a different color for distinction.

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

Nice werewolf! Is that a Blue Moon 28?

I've been eyeing that ruleset for some time, how do the rules stack up to, say, Mordheim? When you say, simple, what do you mean? Any examples would be helpful. Thanks for posting this!

The werewolves are from westwind

The mechanics of the game are simple. In CiC you roll D6's and all rolls require a 4+ to succeed. In CiC a 4+ is considered a goal. And an action requires you make X amount of goals to accomplish. A roll of a 6 counts as 2 goals. What drew me to this game was the setting in Victorian times with Vampires and Werewolves and I was already familiar with the Vampire Wars line of figures. You can use ANY figures you want to represent the figures in the game. The creator simply uses the Vampire Wars line which was already produced and available. Chaos in Cairo uses the same rules and includes Mummies, Cult of Ra, and archaeologist / treasure hunters. Pop over to our facebook page, the creator of the rules is an active member. There you can get get a sample PDF of the game, and ask questions etc. Hope this helps.

The game uses the Goalsystem game system, which is basically the same throughout several games including Chaos in Carpathia, Chaos in Cairo (it is compatible with Carpathia), Chaos in Cronos (not compatible with Carpathia), SuperSystem, The Department, Blasters and Bulkheads, Goalsystem Delves, Labors of the Gods and others. (SuperSystem is the original game to use this).
It's got a lot of versatility.

If you are looking for some Chaos in Carpathia inspiration, then check out the Geektactica blog. He has a running narrative campaign going that is very well done.

The Doctor needs his creation!

Now to base him.
