So I bought a White Dwarf today and saw the new Ogryn Charonite models and had a few questions about them I was hoping to have answered. Not sure if this is the right spot for it, so here goes.

1) Can they be used as part of an Astra Militarum army in 40k?

2) Are the rules any good? From what I've heard they're Bullgryn with AP3 weapons that can be AP2? Good for mulching Marines or Terminators?

3) Being in Australia, and Forgeworld being hard and costly to get, I am considering kitbashing them from Bullgryn and Centurion models, which I think could be cool. What would people think about a conversion for that? Would it be cooler than the official models?

They are heresy only sorry mate they are part of solar auxilar not am you could proxy the models for bulgryns but...

Darn, I saw on the Forge World site the book that contained the rules was usable for 40k and got my hopes up

You can use Solar Auxilia for 40k ifyour opponent agrees.

Charonites are Auxilia only though.

But it all varies on who you play with. My CSM list has both Gal Vorbak and Mhara Gal and no one bats an eyebrow.
