Made a list for a buddy of mine, it is just a starting point, he really wanted to include the TWC. Let me know your thoughts. Also this is the starting point....

-Rune Priest
-9x GH w/ Rhino, Plasma, 8x CCW
-5x GH w/ Rhino, Flamer
-3x TWC w/ SS


Thoughts?

Any critiques? My SW knowledge is a bit dated, especially at this point level.

I'm absolutely certain that this is way more than 500 points.

It is 527 by my count off battlescribe

It is 499 points exact. There is only one as in the TWC. So the points are right.

I am thinking that this list will lack heavy support and that might be a problem.

I play Tau, primarily, but I run SW allies. I have TWC and an Iron Priest on a Bike w/ Cyberwolves. It fares pretty well in the field. You may want to consider trying it out. All in all, it's under 500 points, so you'd have some room to work with.

This list was built for a buddy of mine. It did okay against my Plague Marines at 500 points. The only problem, as stated was once his rhinos were popped, he had to foot slog. With that being said the Plague marine army was built to footslog. Originally he didn't like the Rune Priest, but found his Axe to be a life saver in CC. He has thought about upping his TWC. There is talk of slimming the GH squads down to add another TWC, or atleast a TW HQ.

I personally think that would be worth it. I've had a lot of success with TWC as allies. Of course, he could always go the other route and try a pod.

You could swap the TWC for Long Fangs or a Dread, if you need bigger dakka. Otherwise, the TWC will provide more mobility and melee prowess for an otherwise shooty army. Since he is facing plague marines, PW may be a better choice than SS.
