I keep flip flopping between these two styles of lists. I don't have much table experience, so the purpose of this post is to gain some more experienced opinions on which list would be the most fun/ semi competitive ( as in not getting ruthlessly steam rolled). Suggested changes, comments, etc, are of course welcome.

(Space wolves)

-Rune Priest 1 (goes with terminators)

This is a one time bump in an effort to achieve more polls. Do it, you know you want to, even if you don't want to, do it- it's good for you. Just pick the army you would choose if you didn't have your models and some one was nice enough to lend you one of these armies for the night.

My suggestion? Paint and shape a squad of each, in their own respective styles. Afterwards determine which one you enjoyed creating more, that way building the army will be the most fun for you

That is sound advice. However, they are getting the same paint scheme regardless. I want me some deep purple sm, with dark green and orange

The orange is a little scary...but the purple and green mix could look cool on a landraider or stormtalon. Maybe not so much on a rune priest...
