Good evening dakkadakka. I watched this battle report from sg tactics and saw that one of the guys ran a list with a flesh teater detachment, a SoBCAD and with legion of the damned as an allied detachment. The gripe I was having with the list was the damned allied force (pun intended). He ran four elite slots with damned legionnaries. If you run anything as an allied detachment you can only fill one slot of each. Is there some kind of rule they have that I'm unaware of?
The Legion of the Damned can be taken in their own Detachment - as far as I'm aware they have four models and a legionnaire sergeant or equivalent as a base unit size
Legion of the Damned require 1 elite and up 3 more elite choices.
All units in the Legion of the Damned book are elites.

Yeah, it sounds like the LOTD list wasn't an 'Allied Detachment' but a 'LOTD Detachment' which, by the rules for allies, counts as allied battle brothers to any other Imperial faction.
