I've just put the finishing touches on my Astral Claws Soace Marine army, which means it's time to move to the actual Tyrant's Legion army list. But, with the age of Imperial Armour Vol 9, there's some issues with it. And even with the age of their update there's still discrepancies. So, I've put together some simple House Rules that I'd give to my opponent before a game for their 'okay'. Simple stuff, which makes me think I've forgotten many things. If anyone has suggestions, things I should include, take out, change, to make the list really utilize what they can do, I'd love to hear it. Nearly everything is using the updated Tyrant's Legion army list put up for free by Forge World.
-Tyrant's Legion army lists may ally with Codex: Space Marine armies that use the Chapter Tactics (Astral Claws) as Battle Brothers and vice versa.-
This is just an obvious thing. They're the same army so the rule that says all armies of the Imperium are AoC or worse, don't rememeber if it's AoC or Desperate, should apply to other Astral Claws.
-Lugft Huron. Add the 'Tyrant's Shield' special rule as shown in Imperial Armour Vol 9 when Lugft Huron is included in a Tyrant's Legion army.-
Not sure why this was removed in subsequent lists but frankly, I don't think it should have been. This is the only one I am greedy on because it allows Huron a single Elite choice from Codex: Space Marines and the Honor Guard squad that is allowed him for being a Chapter Master. That's how it was originally and I don't get why they would remove that option in updates. Huron is the reason I started Tyrant's Legion and if he has no access to a Terminator Retinue... That's just silly.
-Leman Russ Battle Tanks and variants do not have the 'Lumbering Behemoth' special rule. Instead add vehicle type 'Heavy' to their unit entry.-
This is an outright nerf. If they keep the Behemoth rule then they can fire their Ordinance Battle Cannon and all their other weapons at full Ballistic Skill. Leman Russ tanks elsewhere lost this ability and I don't think Tyrant's Legion should keep it just cause they're older.
-Chimeras follow the rules as presented in the current Codex: Astra Militarum entry in reference to Fire Points and Lasgun Arrays.-
Same as with the Russ. Not fair for me to shoot five Plasma Guns out of the top hatch when modern armies are stuck with lasgun broadsides.
