Trying to cram my 3 favorite formations from the codex into a single Decurion. I'm sticking to the 2 source limit of NOVA OPEN so I can't just take all 3 formations by themselves or with a CAD since that would be too many sources. In a Decurion they would count as a single source.
It's hard to make the cuts necessary but I think it's worth it.
Reclamation Legion - 561
Zahndrekh
5x Immortals Guass
10x Warriors
10x Warriors
3x Tomb Blades w/ Shield Vanes, Nebuloscope
Auxiliary:
Canoptek Harvest - 239
1x Spyder
3x Scarabs
3x Wraiths w/ Coils
Judicator Battalion - 405
1x Stalker
5x Praetorians w/ Rods
5x Praetorians w/ Rods
Destroyer Cult - 645
Destroyer Lord w/ Warscythe, Phase Shifter
2x Heavy Destroyers
2x Destroyers w/ 1x Heavy Destroyer
2x Destroyers w/ 1x Heavy Destroyer
2x Destroyers w/ 1x Heavy Destroyer
Total: 1850
14 units without counting ICs. A lot of AP 2 and 3. Plus the tarpit of the Canoptek formation.

Any comments? Should I give up on the 3 formation idea and stick with 2 or spam a certain one?

I am in the same boat. Though I run it without the wraith formation. Fiting it all into a decurion is hard, but the bonus to rp is just sick. A few options I've come across is no wraiths and a big ass group of flayed ones with a pimped out D.Lord. Or again drop the wraiths and grab some more armor. That stalker will be a magnet for all the anti vehicle stuff and won't last long. Also immortals in a night scythe is good to grab objectives in later turns.
What you have works, and the fire power is just gross in that list. Stalker + Cult is so nice. But I personally dropped having wraiths in favor of more tomb blades or flayed ones. Also, I am trying out a CCB along with cult + Judicator but not sure how that will pan out.

I'm basically running the same idea. I switch the DCult for a deathbringer flight so I don't know which would be better but one thing I know is as a minimum unit tomb blades are best for jumping around and grabbing objectives (especially maelstrom) so I run them with the shadowlooms for better survivability.

I've read many people suggest not getting the Heavy Destroyers upgrade for your Destroyer units. The reason is that you will usually want them shooting at different things. That'd save you 30 pts too.

I'm not sure I follow that reasoning. Heavy D's are perfectly comfortable shooting at MEq, and Formation D's with re-rolls to pen and wound are happy shooting at anything with AV or T and 3+ or worse. The only narrow band that Heavy D's might want to shoot at and the normal D's would be meh, are TEq. It's not like they are exactly dominating the battlefield right now, and you have other solutions for them, anyway.
Back to the list, I like the try flavors. I would recommend running One Rod and One VB/ PC for the TPs, though, just the have some to throw at Walkers/Kaaaaaaa-nighits in CC, although I guess the Canapoteks can do some of that.

There's also the issue of range. But I think you proved my point for me. If you're not going to use the unit to shoot at TEqs, and Ds are perfectly good at shooting at everything else you want to be shooting at, then just don't pay for a Heavy D in a unit of Ds. Wasted points.

Tomb blades are one of the best units in 40k. Six to nine strong squads. Use them as a gun line next to the stalker if you must. Deadly.

Tomb Blades work really well with Particle Casters and Nebuloscopes, base squad is 3 S6 blast shots with ignores cover per turn for 60 points. I have run a squad of 6 with that setup and it works really well.

To be honest I love it. The 3 formations are all strong and kitted out perfectly (well I'd like the 3rd HD on the Cult but you don't have points for that). The only question mark is the HQs. Is the Dlord running solo? If so he's fine, if he's hanging out with destroyers I'd rather a 2+ armour than the Warscythe and perhaps a Phylactery. Also I'm guessing Zandrekh as Warlord. But with such a stripped down Rec Legion not sure you're getting maximum benefit from him? Perhaps he could be a cheaper lord to give points elsewhere?
Though these are at best minor gripes based probably more on gaming style than efficiency.
As for Heavy Destroyers in the normal squads. It just ups your efficacy against vehicles. You lose a little against MEqs and T6> MCs, but against Knights of the Imperial and Wraith varieties those extra HeavyDs are worth their weight in points

I've done the math on another thread and having Heavy Ds with the the Ds for 10 points is worth it.
I plan to start the Destroyer Lord attached to a unit that might be vulnerable to an alpha strike and then split him to roam around like a pseudo monsterous creature who can join other units.
I picked Zandrekh because he's a durable anchor for the warriors who can allow me to deep strike all the praets and Destroyers reliably.
