If you lose all the models in a detachment, do you lose the effects of its command benefits?

I'm thinking specifically of the Khorne Blood Host, which grants an extra Blood Tithe point at the start of each friendly turn. If there are no models remaining from the detachment, do you keep generating the free point?

Only if the command benefit requires a model to be alive, or only affects those models.

That's my thought as well. There doesn't seem to be any requirement for a Detachment to be on the table in order to make use of its Command Benefits.

I was trying to figure out do you need to have one of the three variations to get the blood frenzy command ability or do you get that just by using the Blood Host Decurion Detachment?

.. to get blood frenzy you must have a blood host detachment in your army (what are 3 variations>??)

As to whether you get the command benefit is every model in the formation is dead...
urgh.. Yes? Because the command benefit does not specify it applies to models in the detachment, but affects the blood tithe directly.

Obviously if all your daemonkin units are dead then the blood tithe is redundant.

But if you say, run 3 minimalist blood host detachments, and thus generate 3 blood tithe points a turn automatically then 2 of the 3 detachments are destroyed do the command benefits from the destroyed detachments still add to the points pool that the 3rd detachment can draw from?

I'd say...yes. Technically. Blood thith points are shared across the army, and this particular command benefit does not apply to the units in the detachment. This is the opposite of how command benefits are described in the BRB so a rulling to the contrary would not be surprising.

I didn't specify what i meant. I was under the assumption that to get the blood frenzy benefit that you needed to field at least one variant of the bloodthirster. Based on the chart, it looks that you dont get the command benefit unless you take one of the lords or slaughter, but i'm not completely sure.

There is no requirement to take any bloodthirster s to get the benefit...

Ah I see. Command Benefits are something all detachments get. It has nothing to do with Command Choices on the Blood Host organisation chart.
