Hello everybody,

I will start with a small introduction I have been collecting chaos space marines for several years now and have been enjoying the collecting building and painting side of the hobbie a lot. I started my Chaos army with the focus on Chaos undivided with a lot of khorne berzerkers and daemon princes. But eventually pappa nurgle lured me into his sick realm. The moment I started to read about nurgle and started to paint and convert unints into nurgle i fall in love with this chaos god. I love the lore and the look of nurgle units and the freedom and the amount of creativity people can put into it.

After getting a few squads of nurgle plague marines it was time to expand my army list. I made many armylists and enjoyed tweaking them to perfection(in my eyes). I always played warhammer 40k casual but enjoy making a strong viable list with a bit of fluff. I got a lot of help and feedback from the dakkadakka community and that is one of the reasons why I started this project thread. I make this thread for people who enjoy nurgle themed chaos armies or anyone interested. All tips and feedback is welcome and I hope you enjoy this project thread. I will try to update it regulary.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will start with the armylist. I always loved Typhus and the idea of a green wave of rotting zombies staggering towards you is to much fun for me to pass up.

I loved working on my nurgle spawn squad and especially converting a dark angel biker into chaos sorcerer to lead my spawn pack was a lot of fun.

He came really close to Daemonhood but ended up as a mindless crazy spawn in the end.(Parts used from both spawn and Daemon Prince boxsets)

The insectoid spawn

I think this one came out the greatest of all and i really like the model.

Full spawn squad led by a Chaos sorcerer on bike.

This was my first change to the Dark vengeance biker.(wanted to use him as a regular chaos biker with PF first)

This is after I transformed him into a chaos sorcerer on a bike with his spawn entourage(Spawn still a work in progress)

This was the first try but during the painting proces i wasn't happy with the result.

Great thread. The GW kit does not provide enough diversity if you are using more than 1 or 2, spawn. Your conversions are great. The biker one is especially unique.

Iám not really sure what the rules are on that part. So far i use the Crimson slaughter supplement for a relic for the Sorcerer (Demon heart). and beside that I use the dataslate for the mayham helbrute formation. Is this a forbidden combination normally?
