Subject: Portalglyph - The thing with no specifications.

I have quite a few questions about the 'Portalglyph', one of the hellforged artifacts available in the Daemon Codex.
1 - what size is it (like height-wise)? GW suggests to use a small blast marker, so is it that size? Because I'm quite sure that would really screw up LOS. Suggestions?
2 - if a 1 or something is rolled for the daemon unit size, does that award a kill point for killing the one model?
3 - if one has something that can repair the immobilized stat, like an ork mek for example, may it take away the immobilization and, if so, how far can the portalglyph move? And what vehicle type would it count as?
Thx anyway, hope someone can offer solutions.

You know what, maybe I'll start that anti-eldarflesh diet I've been talking about... |

There is no set size for it as there isn't a model. I've seen dark eldar webway portals being used as portaglyphs as well as seeing just models of some demon portal. It shouldn't be huge or anything but from what I've seen is intended to be just a small portal that spits out small infantry sized units.
2 - if a 1 or something is rolled for the daemon unit size, does that award a kill point for killing the one model?
Yes it would because it is still a unit, there just happens to be only one model in it. The same goes for killing any unit made up of one model.
3 - if one has something that can repair the immobilized stat, like an ork mek for example, may it take away the immobilization and, if so, how far can the portalglyph move? And what vehicle type would it count as?
It cannot be repaired because it was always immobilized. The same goes for drop pods and the likes. You can't "repair" a drop pod from its immobilization because it isn't broken or damaged, it just can't move. The same goes with the portaglyph.

The daemons book says to use "small blast marker or a similar sized marker", i'd say that is how big it is.
though i modeled one of my own based off those dimensions. it's a bit taller, but looks cooler so who cares.

Pretty sure the Portalglyph is a ritual that is inscribed just before a rift rips open. A Webway Portal is pretty much a "Sliders" style handheld remote. This means that the effect for both is much more distinct than the mechanism that causes the effect, hence the blast marker. Technically, a 3" ball painted up to look like a lightning storm or a Warp storm would be the best model the represent either.

I think it is genuinely intended to be flat. I feel that is one of its benefits due to potentially being harder to make LOS with.

I said technically, not "this is the way it should be".

A small blast marker is the official size, but I have seen people go much taller. Since they are making it easier to hit, it's modelling for cool points, and to their disadvantage, so no one complains about it.
This is what mine looks like
