I painted a Hellcannon and tried to get the colors as right as possible based on the model in the WoC book. This is the most detailed model I've done and would love to know what I did right or wrong. Here are the pics:

It's a good attempt at a rough mini to paint !
However theres a fee things you need to practise .
First always thin your paints.
Second use washes to get depths.
Third practise beeing neat as your paints are everywhere.

Do these things and your minis will be significantly better.

I think my detailing was done without thinking the paints and that's something I can change.

I did use Agrax Earthshade for most of the bronze parts and Nuln Oil for the Steel parts.
I hadn't washed the Horns and skulls when I shared the photo.

Thanks Legion. Yeah, that's something I need to get better at. I'm lazy at going back and fixing the errors so there's always room to get more disciplined there.

Being neat and thinning paints goes hand in hand. Thinner paints are far easier to control. Keep at it though

Any thought towards basing?

Looking good! Moving to the general P&M, as Showcase rules require a finished base. Cheers!

Got it. I did Festus and thinned every single paint I used and I felt I definitely had more control. Even if I had to use a single brush stroke, I added some water to thin the paint and it does work miracles. Keeps the details in tact and doesn't clump up.

I have never done a base. Have no clue how to get started Will probably have to lookup some videos on what to do..
