i have a question that i cannot find an answer to in the rule book

here is the problem:
i have a Necron doom scythe, it jinks and can only fire snap shot in the next round.
can it fire it's death ray ?
the death ray can be fired as blast and lance - obviously it cannot fire the blast...but can i choose to snap fire as a lance weapon with BS 1 ??

The Death Ray has both the Blast and Lance weapon abilities. Therefor, you would not be able to fire it while snap shooting.

Yeah, after writing the question and thinking about it a little bit more, i guess this makes sense.
rulebook says on pg158 that blast weapons cannot fire snapshots.
and since there are not 2 profiles on the deathray this would apply here as well...

Yeah, the only time you can choose to snap fire a blast weapon is if it has multiple profiles that don't all have the blast rule. Best example I can think of is a missile launcher. It can only fire frags if it's stationary, kraks it snap fire (including overwatch).

The Eldar Fire Prism. It can fire Large blasts, Small blasts, or a single shot lance. Only the last can be fired as a snap shot. Which is extremely entertaining to take out aircraft or a heavy tank with a single lance shot.
