I'm starting an Ork army for a fun conversion heavy side project. Here's my list:

HQ: Wierdboy, no upgrades - 45pts

Troops: 10 Slugga/Choppa Boyz in Trukk with Rokkit Launcha - 90pts
Troops: 10 Slugga/Choppa Boyz in Trukk with Rokkit Launcha - 90pts

Fast Attack: Dakkajet 3x Twin-Linked Supa Shoota - 130pts

Heavy Support: 3x Killa Kan with Rokkit Launcha - 150pts

Total cost: 505pts (I play at a flexible club which will allow me to go those five points over)

Pick away! I could really do with the advice. However, I really like Ork flyers, and I'm going to take one no matter what (whether it be a Dakkajet or Burna/Blitza Bommer I want one in the force).

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

There's quite a few things I can pick at.

You NEED nobs in your boy squads. If you don't have them, as soon as your trukks explode, you've lost that unit due to not meeting the criteria for the mob rule.

Your trukks should have a ram upgrade.

Do you have anything other than the weirdboys?

Do you have anything other than Killakans? Lootas are alot more effective at this points level. Lobbas are equally as awesome.

30 Orks by Foot.
17-20 in a Battlewagon.
12 in a Trukk.

I want offical rules for the Super-Ork that the Mad Dok is working on...

I do have Lootas, I just happened to like Killa Kan models.

I'll wiggle some Nobs in to the Boyz.

Let's see what I can do about those rams...

I could change the wierdboy out for a warboss, I just took him because he's cheap.

NEW LIST:

HQ: Warboss, 'Eavy Armour, Big Choppa, Kombi-Rokkit, Attack Squig, Boss Pole - 94pts

Troop: 9 Choppa/Slugga Boyz, Nob with Big Choppa, Trukk with Rokkit and Ram - 105pts
Troop: 9 Choppa/Slugga Boyz, Nob with Big Choppa, Trukk with Rokkit and Ram - 105pts

Fast Attack: Dakkajet with 3xTwin-linked Supa Shoota - 130pts

Heavy Support: 5 Lootas - 70pts

Total cost: 504pts

The Warboss doesn't need an Attack Squig or the Kombi Rokkit. They're both a waste of points. If you remove the big chooper, you should have the 25points for a PK, which at this points level is a lot more useful.

I agree with darkflame, at this low a points level more models will be more helpful. There's a good rule to remember when playing orks. Boyz before Toyz.

'Nids growing soon
3500 pts. unpainted
Admech 1000 buying & building
If you don't enjoy playing against people with unpainted armies, break into their house when they sleep, paint their figures for them, help yourself to their cheerios and then your problems will be solved.
Well, my opponents usually don't have more than 1-2 Wave Serpents 'cos Serpent spam is very expensive in real life money.

Why does that sound like something out of the bro-code?

I could drop the Dakkajet and supplement it with Deffkoptas (sorry, but I really love Orky flying machines)

I'll get a Power Klaw on that boss.

I'll give you the kombi-rokkit, but the attack squig is nice upgrade on the warboss. If you want the warboss to have a shooty weapon, consider the dead-shiny shoota? Cheap upgrade and can be fun to use. Having the jet in the list is pretty big at 500 points. Most armies can even bring a flyer at that level.

Elysians: 500
Khorne Daemons: 2500

Would that just be two squads? How is ground poundin Orks? It would be nice to run a tide of large mobs across the field, accepting losses as the cost of moving forward. Don't Nobs get sniped easy?

Keeping the nobs towards the mid to back of the squad doesn't make it that difficult. Also adding a Painboy can extend the life expectancy of your troops greatly.
