I've been meaning to get into 40k for years and I've finally made the leap. I've got a few cadians, and even painted a few!

I love the look of Scions, and plan to use them as my veterans. (I hope that's okay?)

Hoping the community, both local and online, is nice and relaxed.

Don't play Guard, but as long as your opponent is OK with you using Scions as vets you should be fine. Just bear in mind Scions are their own unit so you might want to use actual vets. Also vets have different weaponry so that's another reason to use actual vets.

Get yourself a tank as well, they're fun. Mabye even several tanks.

I couldn't find any actual veteran models! It seemed like everyone just used their normal flak (or no) armoured guardsmen as veterans.

I don't plan on using actual Scions, because they seem worse than veterans with carapace! But I think the models look really good.

I've got one tank! I put an autocannon and lascannon on it. I haven't painted it yet because I can't decide what to put on the sponsons if anything.
