Do you mean there is a section of made up stuff, or are you commenting on the fact that it is innacurate? Are you talking about warhammer 40k wikia?

Yes, I'm talking about the fan wikia. i I was curious if anyone here on dakka ever reads any of it or contributes to it.

Oh no I didn't even know that site existed to be honest.

It doesn't get a lot of traffic so to speak apart from people adding their own fluff. There is some decent stuff on there if you feel like reading it.

generally in my experiance with fanon 99% of it sucks as 99% of it is made up of "well there's not anything that specificly covers this. so rather then research it in depth and develop something that fits flawlessly into the universe as eistablished I'm gonna make something up that seems cool.

That is very true but some of it isn't half bad but it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

Yeah I just read 5 random pages, all of them terrible with bad spelling and little to no research being done.

Many of them are sub-par but it is interesting (to me at least) to see these homebrewed ideas even if they aren't the best.
