Hi guys, I'm wondering how to play out this scenario: charge into a group of 5 enemy's and hit them with a strength D weapon and roll 1 one, 3 twos on the Destruction table and a 6 (which does D6+6 wounds) would the wound pool count for 9+d6 wounds eliminating them all, or would the model that suffers the devastating hit just be killed alone with the 3 other wounds allocated according?
How would this play out for models weak enough to be instant killed anyway, and how about if they were T 6+?

Wounds from D weapons do not spill over to other models. You roll for and apply the effects on a model by model basis.

Dang, that sucks, but its still a d-weapon with like 7 attacks on a 275 pt model at least!

The D weapon wounds thing reaaaalllly helps when you're trying to kill a character. Instant killed a wolf lord today with the new bloodthirster

Nice man! I just picked it up myself, beautiful sculpt and I cannot wait for my buddy to attempt to kill it with his vehicles and such, the axe model and ruleset are just too badass.
Colossal should have some sort of bonus instead of a nerf IMO.

Last weekend mine (with rampage axe and reroll invuns) charged ragnar and 8 claws challanged 9 hits one 6 and 8 2+'s the 6 went onto ragnar and the rest spilled over and killed the rest all for the loss of 2 wounds, well worth it and its a butiful kit.

Really looking forward to wiping out a chapter master with the shield eternal ASAP.

How did the rest spill over, the hits were against Ragnar so the wounds were all allocated directly to him and not put into a wound pool.

Check out the challenge rules, you cannot direct against Ragnar. Simply he must be allocated wounds first.

Yep so the 6 on the d table killed him (6 wounds ignoring invuns and saves)and the rest killed the unit.

In 7E, 2-5 from Destroy weapon table make a model to lose D3 wound rather than D3+1
