Hello,

I recently started playing warhammer 40k and decided to go with the necrons. So i'd hope you guys could help me finetune my list, ofc the overlord joins the Lychguard in the Night Scythe. (on a sidenote, this list is intended for maelstrom missions, i know i don't have objective secured, but i feel the +1 RP is to big of a deal to pass up on)

+++ Decurion V1.0 (1500pts) +++

++ Necrons: Codex (2015) (Decurion Detachment) (1500pts) ++

+Reclamation Legion (1175pts)+

5x Immortal [5x Gauss Blaster]
8x Lychguard [Hyperphase Sword & Dispersion Shield, Night Scythe]
Overlord [Phase Shifter, Warscythe]
5x Tomb Blades [Nebuloscope, Shield Vanes, Twin-linked Gauss Blaster]
5x Tomb Blades [Nebuloscope, Shield Vanes, Particle Beamer]
10x Necron Warriors [Ghost Ark]
10x Necron Warriors

+ Auxiliary (378pts) +

Canoptek Harvest (378pts)
3x Canoptek Scarabs
1x Canoptek Spyder
5x Canoptek Wraiths [Whip Coils]

What is the auxiliary part exactly is that the harvest and if so your 50 points too much i would seriously rethink the list I've played games against people with their formations and won simply because I had ob sec. It's not hard for Necrons to bang in a formation and units with op sec the wraiths alone will bug your opponent due to being able to give them RP.
Hope this helps

2000pts
1500pts

I'd drop the Lynchguard since it's too slow even if transported.
I'd give the Night Scythe to the Warrior unit.

Your lytchguard are hurting you at this points level. You don't have much teeth other than that unit and they are extremely slow. With the nighscythe they may come in on turn 2 and get a turn 3 or 4 assault but it's not unlikely to have them come in on turn 3 without reserve modifiers, which would line you up for a turn 4 assault at best which is too late for you since they make up such a large part of your army almost a 3rd.

As stated above, I'd dump the Lychguard.
I'd also replace your Overlord with old grandpa Necron himself, Nemesor Zandrekh. His "swiss army knife" warlord abilities can come in pretty handy. And he's a tough old guy to boot.

So here's what I'd go with:

--Decurion--
~Reclamation legion~
Nemesor Zandrekh
Immortals x5 w/ Night Scythe
Immortals x7 (Nemesor hangs out with these dudes)
Warriors x10 w/ Ghost Ark
Warriors x10 w/ Ghost Ark
Tomb Blades x5 (shield vanes, nebuloscopes, TL Gauss)
Tomb Blades x5 (shield vanes, nebuloscopes, TL Gauss)
//Canoptek Harvest
1x Tomb Spider
3x Scarab Swarms
5x Wraiths (whip coils)
--Decurion--

Comes out to 1499.

Don't worry about ObSec. Just kill stuff, or use the Blades to get to OBJs speedy-like before other dudes can.
