Has anyone ever tried using Obliterators or Mutilators for true-scale projects? They're a lot bigger than regular Terminators, (especially if you could get rid of their hunched over pose), so they seem like a great starting point for a true-scale Veteran of the Long War.

The biggest issue to me are their arms, though. I wouldn't know what to replace them with, as they're a lot bigger than a regular Terminator's arms, and I'd like to give them some more varied weapon options.

Thoughts or suggestions welcome!

Amongst other bits, yes:

Works quite nicely for the lower legs, I think.

Wow, those are awesome!

Were only the lower legs used? The other bits seem to be a combination of GK and SM Terminator parts, if I'm not mistaken

Ta. I combined the lower legs of Obliterators (the metal ones, more fool me) with Grey Knight Terminator upper legs, waists and torso front. The back is from a standard plastic Terminator, as are the arms.

The shoulder pads are self-made, but they're almost identical in size to the Obliterator ones. If you were patient enough to file away the detail (or greenstuff over it), they'd work nicely.

Apologies for the poor photos (they're quite old conversions!), but here's a pic from the back.

The chap on the left is made slightly differently, using the character model 'Zhufor' from Forge World as the basis for the legs.

Here's a scale shot. Rather absent-mindedly, it's using a marine built from the standard Terminator legs, so you'll have to use your imagination to get a proper idea of the size. Sorry!

Addendum: a better scale shot, using a standard-sized model:

Those guys look great!

It's strange how the arms still look properly scaled, the Terminator arms look so tiny compared to the massive shoulder pads of the Obliterator I have
