If I play a smaller point game and am unable to run a full Necron Decurion Detachment, am I allowed to run something like:

2 units of Necron Warriors
  • 10x Necron Warriors
  • 10x Necron Warriors w/ Ghost Ark

  • 1 unit of Doom Scythes
  • 1x Doom Scythe

  • 1 Canoptek Harvest Formation
  • 1x Canoptek Spyder
  • 6x Canoptek Wraith
  • 5x Canoptek Scarabs

  • Would this be a legal setup and still grant the benefits from the Harvest Formation?

EDIT: I'm sure this is probably over the points needed to include a Reclamation Legion, but just wanted to give a sample.

Yes you can, it would be unbound, but you can use any formations you want within a detachment.

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

Canoptek Harvest is a seperate Formation, it can be included anywhere you like for its benefits. The above list is Unbound but includes a Formation, which is perfectly legal to do.

You would be better off (in my opinion) of making a bound CAD, 1hq, 2 troops, and adding everything you want under that, THEN adding in the canoptic harvest formation, which of course adds the rules for that formation. Doing this, your two troops will be objective secured, while also gaining the benefit of the improved units within range of the spiyder.
