Changes suggested are to increase costs but also increase usability of units and provided Tau players with a wider array of choices when creating a competitive army. Looking to get more types of units on the table and make lists more interesting.

I've said it before and I'll say it again Pathfinders should become troops if Kroot are moved out of the dex into a kroot minidex. The changes for pathfinders are based on them becoming troops.

New Pathfinders - 15pts per model, WS2, BS4, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld9, 5+ - Add Stealth - Lose access to ion and rail rifles (only have pulse carbines), gain haywire grenades standard - Idea here is that they are really an elite troop type. They are skilled infiltrators and commandos who are beyond the front lines causing trouble. Can still take drones
-markerlights are assault 1 instead of heavy. (these are laser pointers attached to their carbines so if the gun is assault 2, then why are the lasers attached to the guns not also assault) - obviously still must choose what to fire.

FW armor 4+, Stats remain the same. Can take pathfinder specific drones as well.

Stealthsuit- 5pts increase per model - WS2, BS3, S4, T4, W1, I3, A1, Ld8, 3+ - 3 open Wargear slots, gain ability to tl weapon(at cost of a slot), no duel weapons) - Gain new weapons - Ion Rifle(renamed to Ion
Blaster or something since they'll hold them underslung) and Rail Rifle(Rail blaster for lack of imagination)
They would now have 4 choices for weapons
Burst Cannon S5 AP5 18" Assault 4 ---No cost
Fusion Blaster S8 AP1 18" Assault 1, Melta ---5pts
Ion Blaster S7 AP4 18" Assault 2 ---5pts
Ion Blaster(OC) S8 AP3 18" Blast, Gets hot
Rail Blaster - S6 AP2 18" Assault 3 ---5pts

Crisis Suit- 5pts increase per model - WS2, BS3, S5, T4, W2, I3, A2, Ld9, 3+ - 5 open wargear slots - shas'vre lose access to signature systems - 5pts increase per model

Broadsides- 10 pts increase per model - WS2, BS3, S5, T5, W3, I2, A2, Ld8, 2+ - 2 open wargear slots
- Can take new wargear, "Stabilizers" = 15pt upgrade per model that gives relentless - takes up their 1 wargear slot
- no access to signature systems

Vehicles
All vehicles have blacksun filters built in - no cost upgrades
Reason - make no sense that suits would have them built in but advanced hovering tanks with extremely powerful and long ranged weapons would not. Also their cost is so minor that their addins anyway. And it adds to the flavour of Tau being centered around their tech.

All vehicles have new standard wargar "advanced drone controllers" - up cost of vehicles by 5-10 for these
- Embarked drones use vehicles BS and have vehicles special rules applied to them.
- Also drones or weapon systems in the cradles of the drones can fire at different units than the main weapon system.

Anyone else have thoughts on what could be added or changed to make more units viable or at least just have them make sense based on their supposed function?
