Ruststalker go in the Storm Raven with the Captain as a very hard hitting assault unit.

Everything else goes in a Drop Pod.

If I go first, Rangers with Transuranic Arquebus deploy to hold back field objective. If not they can get in Drop Pod, so they don't get singled out.

Consolidated Relics onto 1 Captain and dropped second for points.

There are 40 points left over.

10 Vanguard can only have 3 special weapons. maybe you're including the arc pistol? (a good buy if you need more shotz for Knights or something)

Infiltrators might be better than Ruststalkers in a drop pod, since they have Stealth and shooting. But more Vanguard might be even better. If you do take Ruststalkers, keep the grenades and claws, don't get the blades.

Doesn't the character have access to special weapons? If not swith to pistols of the same name.

Why is the claw better than plus 1 Str?

On the charge you wound T4 on a 2+ and the character can get a second hand.

Yeah blades are better than claw just about. But the loss of assault grenades with Haywire and poison makes the Blades a poor choice.

Ahh my bad, didnt see the pod with the marines.

Yeah 30 guys is a good enough alpha. But putting your captains in a SR is a terrible idea. Stick them in a pod as a counter assault.

I see one flaw with this list: objectives behind your lines. You are going to want to have all your other troops assaulting and moving forward, making any squad that stays behind sit idly. You could add a 5 man team of Rangers with 2 arquebuses and an omnispex to hold rear objectives and soften enemy resistance.

I agree with vulkan those squads (i need to try it out) but on paper they seem like a good squad to pop rhinos and other light vehicles.

If you don't enjoy playing against people with unpainted armies, break into their house when they sleep, paint their figures for them, help yourself to their cheerios and then your problems will be solved.
Well, my opponents usually don't have more than 1-2 Wave Serpents 'cos Serpent spam is very expensive in real life money.

If I dropped a piece of War Gear I could add one.

Or if the a Captain can have 2 Relics I can drop the other and add 2 Ranger Squads since many maps have 2 close objectives.

Although they will be weak to assault and if I go second they will be targeted with no assistance.

I think they will be worth their value. I really like this force because it is flexible, allowing it to react to your opponent's deployment. Also, this squad is not meant to be in the main path of attack and preferably in cover: the your opponent with have to either divert fast units to handle them or shoot at them. Their 6+ FNP should help against shooting enemies, and the Galvanic Rifles the rest of the squad has are fairly powerful. In addition, this will draw enemy fire and units away from your assault troops, giving them time to make contact with the enemy.

Added 2 Ranger squads with 2 Transuranic Arqbuses and Omnispex.

Might consolidate into 1 10 Ranger Squad with 3 TA and Omnispex. That way I can null deploy and only lose 1 TA and more wounds to protect the specialists. However, less board coverage.

do you have a Special weapon on the Tac Squad? if so I am not seeing it. I would add a Plasma/Melta just to flesh it out a bit also what weapons are you having on the Storm Raven?

Original it has a heavy flamer and a flamer.
Alternative only a Heavy since it is under 10.

Currently it is Storm Ravens: MultiMelta, Assault Cannon, Hurricane Bolters. I can see running Lascannons instead of Assault Cannons.

With such reliance on Storm Raven and reserves I'd consider swapping out for Captain Karlaen with his guaranteed reroll for reserves.

He IIRC allows reroles for reserves or +1 to your roles.
he is a terminator Capt with TH/SB
not bad choice but who would he role with? not the Tac Squad and I would not send him alone in the raven because he has to be on table for his abilitys...

If his ability works like the Strategic Table he doesn't have to be on the table. He only has to be alive.

With the Veritas Vitae I have 3 chances to get it.

Also does the extra Command Role have to be made second or can I roll it first and then change tables?

I am placing my HQ in the Ruststalkers inside the Storm Raven so they can Assault where I need them on my terms.

It protects them and gives them fantastic mobility and flexibility.
