Hi guys,
I decide to build a little diorama for a LotR character. I chose Éowyn. I made the base self - out of 2 wood pices and painted them black. I put some Styrodur on the top and decorated it with different basing materials. Feel free to post questions, suggestions, or criticsm.

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

Very nice paintwork, and it's great to see some LotR in here. Your hair and skin tones are especially good bright without being too pale.

My only suggestions are complete nitpicks (and only relevant if you were trying to replicate the look from the film)

- If you look at has chainmail in the film, it actually has a slightly gold/brass tint to it, which would be easily achieved just by using an Agrax Earthshade or Sepia wash over the mail. This has the side effect of tying the metal in with the reds/browns of the armour pieces and the overall tone of the model.

- Similarly, you could pick out the innermost parts of the leather plates in gold, just to add a tiny bit more detail.

But as I say, these are just suggestions if you really wanted to match the look from the film, and this is a really great mini!

very nice indeed.

I'm going to leave it in P & M however as we want Showcase threads to have pictures etc rather than videos.

Lovely work though

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
