Hello my fellow Greenskins. Have a bit of an issue. I'm making a warbike army now that my dread army is wrapping up (check out my gallery!) And since I convert almost everything in sight I was excited to try my hand at the bikes. Sadly, there isn't much meat to play with. I don't want to do the dakka hamster wheels (even tho they are nice..) I don't want Nob bikers (i'll be running Zhadsnark after all...). I tried to like the "normal" bikes but each and every time I couldn't help but notice the ork face being a fraction away from the handlebars. Not good. And the guns being where they are.. just didn't like'em. So I looked at the fantasy line and saw the boars were decently priced, and ripe for conversion (yeah...like everyone else I know..) but then I had a thought.. why not use the wolves from the space puppies...
the thunder could be used for Zhadsnark while the little frens could be used for the "baby boy bikerz".

So dakkamates, what's your thoughts?

Fluff-wise, the boars are more traditionally orky. And they come with 'free' ork riders (once you convert them to be more 40K-ish)

The other disadvantage of thunder wolves is cost, even ignoring the possible cost of riders (if you don't already have some).

If you just want non-traditional steeds, you could also could also consider Dire Wolves or similar.

Or if you really want to be original, how about Beastman Centigors with ork torsos, the result of some bizarre Mad Dok experiment or Chaotic mutation

Cyboar sounds awsome. A huge pissed off boar with nasty tusks and an ork riding on its back?

You could also make them like another orkoid-squiggoth offshoot or something.

I vote the boar just because its incredibly traditional

Second would be a rhino or hippo. just because they are terrifying.

I've found a potential warboss boar thing to convert. But...
I might need a base from a blood throne of khorne...

after some measuring, will be two side by side biker bases to make the warboss's mount.. barely enough room haha
