I know this is going to be a quick answer but it came up at my local tournament. Do chapter tactics like bolter drill apply to vehicles? It says model in the book, not infantry or specific. I know this has to be somewhere obvious but i cant find it.

Units don't benefit from Chapter Tactics unless they have the Chapter Tactics special rule (which vehicles don't have). The only exception is the Iron Hands rules - they have a specific proviso saying that vehicles benefit from their chapter tactics, even though they don't have the Chapter Tactics rule.

Oh so its listed on the model itself not in the rule.

If you look at Chapter Tactics (the full page, not the summary)

Codex: Space Marines, page 77, Chapter Tactics, first paragraph wrote:
When choosing a Space Marines detachment...
...
All models benefit from the appropriate Chapter Tactics for their detachment's Chapter, providing they have the Chapter Tactics special rule
...

In the Chapter Tactics themselves, they refer to "all models" or "models in this detachment" because it is easier than specifying "All models with Chapter Tactics (chapter name)".
As previously mentioned, the exception to this is Iron Hands' Machine Empathy, which states that all vehicles and characters have IWND, regardless of having Chapter Tactics.
