Lord with black mace is not very good as he would only be ap4. People traditionally take the mace on a DP, as then it gets ap2, and all of the awesome benefits.

Don't people usually take a slaanesh lord on a bike and put him in the unit that gives him FnP?

Aftermath can be calculated.

Dark humor is like food, not everyone gets it.

Hmm you should be able to do it, the wording for the restrictions on taking the Black Mace is

A Model can replace one weapon with one of the following. Only one of each Chaos Artifact can be taken per Army.

If you were to take the BM and a PF you wouldn't get the additional attack for having two CC weapons as the PF is a specialist weapon. Whereas with the PF and LC you would.

The only problem with the BM is that it's AP4, so probably better suited for a DP if you are going up against MEQ.

I toyed with a Slaanesh lord on a steed. It conferred outflank to him and his unit. Burning brand worked well in this case as you can't charge from reserves.

I would recommend the lightning claw over the powerfist. The Slaanesh benefit is +1 I.... so why squander it on an unwieldy weapon?

But if you got stuck in combat with a Termie or something the AP2 would be beneficial, otherwise you would attack with the Mace at I5.

I am not disagreeing with your statement. If you kit your lord with a lightning claw, stay away from terminators. There are tradeoffs with everything.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I did not think the lord could take an IoE.

The icon is only available to marines though. it is not available in the lord's war gear options
it means that only slaaneshi marines can take it.

This is what I meant. He can get the benefit from it, but he needs to be in a unit that can take it. The lord cannot take an icon.

This. I'm using a Terminator Lord with the same loadout, with plans for a Steed later on when I get off of my Terminator kick. Lightning claw and Burning Brand is a good loadout so far, no matter what armor you put the Lord in.
