So looking over something I notice someone said attaching a Warboss or HQ with Mega-Armor to Mek Guns gives them Slow and Purposeful and Relentless.

This means that supposedly they can fire Ordinance and at full ballistic skill despite having moved.

With this in mind (and assuming its possible) how viable would attaching a Weirdboy to a Mek Gun unit and getting "Da Jump" off to teleport around the board lobbing blasts or to teleport in and start blasting expensive units away be ?

I don't know... They have a rather large footprint. Teleporting them around is begging for a misshap to happen IMHO.

Sounds cool but the stars have to align for it to happen. If you don't get the right power any plans in where the weirdboy goes?

weirdboy goes anywhere!

yeh you could do it, large footprint as mentioned. However, more than likely simply being able to move around with SnP would be enough to hit most things without needing to teleport.

I stick my weirdboy in a unit of grots occasionally. some bodies, cheap, and he rolls around in a trukk, sometimes not, just spewing orky madness over everything.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.

That sounds like the next level of Mek gun madness! I'll have to try it. My only worry is that I'd rather use Da jump with shorter ranged units. With 36" range I rarely find my KMKs lacking a solid target with Ghaz as their bodyguard.

It's a symbiotic relationship. Almost nothing out shoots Mek guns, and almost nothing wins melee against a waaaging Ghaz. Da jump seems fun but impractical (as grots hate dangerous terrain tests and already have solid range).

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"
