The Last Chancer Who Survived

Some time ago, a friend of mine told me that the 7E rules for 40k were split into 3 books, instead of just one, so that you could buy the rules but not the fluff (and this have the rules for a lower price). But I've had a poke around on the GW site, and I cannot find this sort of separation. Was it cancelled or did it never happen?

They are 3 separate books physically, but they never have actually sold them separately.

Yep. You can eBay the small rulebooks, which are part of the Dark Vengeance and other sets, but people are now selling them separately.

They released a book with just the rules for $58 in hardback months ago but it isn't on the GW site any more. It's actually a nice book and all the FLGS around me still have 1 or 2 left on the shelves.
