I'm creating a 40k Eldar army, but I don't want to use any of the more popular craftworlds. I would like a lesser known craftworld that fits my theme, but I have no issue creating it from scratch. My army is "hunter" themed, and a bit more feral. Basically they have a uniform look, but each model would have trophies from kills making them unique. I was thinking of using Kurnous as a theme and maybe a pale green moon as a symbol. Any help with existing craftworlds or other themes that fit would be nice.

Aringhe: Its colors are red and silver.
Altansar (Broken Chain): In the aftermath of the 13th Black Crusade, the Pheonix Lord Maugan Ra guided his long lost home craftworld from out of the Eye of Terror. The other craftworlds remain deeply suspicious of its inhabitants. Its name runes are a reference to the escape of Kurnous and Isha from the dungeons of Khaine.
An-Iolus: At the end of the M.41 it was traversing the Gothic Sector and its fleets became involved in the war between the Imperium and Abaddon the Despoiler.
Arach-Qin: Aringhe: Ctho: The other Eldar craftworlds lost contact millenia ago with this world.
Dorhai: The inhabitants refuse to deal with the other Craftworlds, considering them tainted and infested with Chaos,
Hel-Kath: Idharae: Attacked by the Invaders Space Marine Chapter in late M.41, several decades after it had joined with a fleet from its ally Iyanden to play a pivotal part in stopping Hive Fleet Naga's assault on the Galaxy in 812.M41
Il-Kaithe (knowledge of Blood): Galactic West near the Halo Stars, Isolated and aggressive, it fought against the Macharian Crusade. They are well known for exceptional talents of their Bonesingers who can even be found on the battlefield, healing the Eldar war machines. Less well know is its extensive links with the dark kin, with whom it often allies to cleanse the forces of the Great Enemy.
Ikkar'os: Known for its strong links to several Corsair groups and the Dark Eldar, Kabal of the Broken Sun, it is also the protector of the Maiden World So'revi. While the Craftworlders nominally adhere to normal path structure, the strong relationship with the Corsairs has lead to what some would call a weakening of the paths while those from Ikkar'os say that the number and quality of available paths have expanded.
Ishayr: There are few tomes that give evidence to its existence and even the Eldar of the other Craftworlds understand very little of their kin that disappeared from their awareness centuries ago, only to on occassion re-emerge like wisps watching them from the shadows. According to one Eldar seeress of Ulthwé origin, the possess space craft which are alien to the eyes of "normal" Eldar and use a method of travel not known to them or their inferiors.
Iybraesil (Hand of Heg): A matriarchal society which expends considerable resources in attempting to recover spirit stones and secrets from the lost homeworlds in the Eye of Terror. Located in the Western Quadrant of the Segmentum Obscurus.
Kaelor: Millenia ago the craftworld used a Warp Gate to exit the galaxy and now has little contact with the remaining Eldar. They do however maintain strong links with the Twilight Swords, Eldar corsairs operating in the Koronus Expanse at the edge of the Imperium.
Kaldir’So: Encounters with Imperial authorities which had not resulted in immediate conflict seemed to suggest to Ordo Xenos researchers that this Craftworld had little interest in the affairs of Mankind. Vessels and groups encountered appeared to be almost always either low grade or perhaps non-military. It was noted that although initial encounters were with these sub standard forces, reinforcements have always been of high quality – be they Aspect Warriors or warships. Attempts by elements of the Holy Ordos to contact the Craftworld have in all known cases been politely received but with little interest from the Xenos. At the end of M.41, Kaldi’so itself was likely to continue traversing through the Salaminia sector for another 50 years before it passed into the next sector, returning again in an estimated 1200 years.
Lugganath (Light of the Fallen Suns): In 801.M41 substantial forces from Lugganath attacked the stronghold of the Steel Hearts Chaos Renegade Space Marine Chapter and destroyed them in their entirety. Known to be traversing the western quadrant of the Segmentum Obscurus, the craftworld stymied a Daemonic incursion on Cathox Prime and also suppressed a Chaos Cultist uprising on Cathox Gamma IV in 805. M.41. It has unusually strong ties with the Harlequins and the raiders of the Sunblitz Brotherhood and it is also said that the Lugganath Eldar hope to abandon this galaxy, starting a new civilization within the webway.
Maegnar: Meros: Morrian: The diplomat Arhan of this craftworld tried to negotiate with Guyan Sethe, the human ruler of Assyri.
Mymeara: Long hidden in the Karina Nebula, from Eldar and non Eldar alike, the Craftworld had virtually no contact with the galaxy until in mid M.41 until it joined with Alaitoc in assaulting the Imperial resource world of Betalis III. In its isolation, Mymeara has retained many examples of the highest levels of Eldar technology long thought lost. Following the conflict on and around Betalis, the Craftworld reawakened the Phoenix Lord Irillyth, the Shade of Twilight. Mymeara was one of the last Craftworlds to maintain an active Shadow Spectre Aspect Warrior shrine.
Necretinei:
Rhosh'aeth: The craftworld suffered huge loses to its fleet at the hands of the Wandering Court of Emmesh-Aiye, Champion of the Emperor's Children in early M.41.
Riellen: In retaliation for Dark Eldar raids, the Imperium wiped out the Exodite worlds of Avalath and Kathlan in Khaldun sector in the Segmentum Obscurus during the early years of M.41. A substantial conflict erupted some 120 years later when the Riellen craftworld drew close to the sector and took revenge for their lost kin and also looked to take back or destroy looted technology.
Stel-Uit: Telennar: Small in comparison to many other of the Craftworlds still in existence, it maintains cordial relations with Alaitoc.
Tir-Val: Ulani: Despite some decades of peaceful co-existence, war eventually erupted between the craftworld and human colonists in the Kalamata system. No further contact between the two races was reported since the conflict ended in a bloody stalemate and the craftworld departed the area in early M.40.
Varantha: The "Crown of Our Steadfast Hopes" is well known for its artisans who work wonderful creations in metals, gems, and flowers. It has in the past passed close by Hydraphur during its travels
Yme-Loc (Cruicble of Souls): The craftworld maintains substantial shrines to all of the Aspects and many of its population follow the way of Khaine. It is a tradition that the Autarch must have both travelled the path and had the strength to leave that of each Aspect. In addiitonal to its formdiable force of warriors, it also maintains substantial amounts of Titans and other engines of Vaul. In M.41, the Autarch is Anthrillien Morningchild.
Yr-Athi: Zandros: Preserves the last Aspect Shrine of the Shining Orbs, whose strange arts have seldom been seen in the galaxy at large. In M.41 duels are fought here between Arhra and Karandraas.

There are already examples of Craftworlds that thematically seem aligned with an Eldar god.
Yme-loc has the symbol of the Crucible of Souls, which was what Vaul used, and they seem to be known for their craftsmanship. Iybraesil has the symbol of the Hand of Heg and is associated with Morai-Heg and attempting to recover secrets from the crone worlds.
I would argue that Kurnous, being a god of untamed nature and the hunt, was a god out of favor with mainstream high tech pre-Fall Eldar society. Saim-hann for example is viewed as semi-barbaric by other Craftworlds because they left the Eldar empire earlier on and the Path system there is much looser than elsewhere, and they are still organized around independent Wild Rider clans. Kurnous may have found renewed favor with the ancestors of the Exodites, so perhaps Exodites or a Craftworld that is borderline Exodite-like in its views on technology might work. Perhaps like Saim-hann they maintain more of the old system of clans and houses and the Path system is less rigidly formalized compared to other Craftworlds.
Incidentally, we know that Kurnous had horns on his head as the Harlequin Codex shows Cergorach played a prank on Kurnous by cutting off one horn, and then evading pursuit by Kurnous's hounds. We also know again from the Harlequin Codex that one of Kurnous's weapons was a wooden stave entwined with thorny vines, which Kurnous used when wanting to strike down a foe silently.

This is exactly the stuff I'm looking for! I'm thinking I'll stick with the Kurnous theme then. The symbol will probably be a crescent moon and a single antler. Colors and a name are all that's left!

I would recommend greens and browns, to get a nature feel of it, war paint on the faces might be cool to emphasize the more savage side of your army

The difference though still remains between Craftworlders and Exodites. Even "barbaric" Saim-hann still maintains far more high technology and still has a society of ease compared to the Exodites.
I suppose that while there might be some shared bonds with the Exodites there could still be some disagreement or tension, with the Exodites for example still viewing these Craftworlders as playing at getting back to nature rather than genuinely doing so. Sort of like how some people might camp, but with a whole range of modern camping equipment, versus someone trying to really live as a survivalist with no modern technology.

I'm definitely more interested in them being a craftworld than exodites. They'll be a group trying to get back to "basics", or their past. The main color is definitely green, but the aspects will have hints of their standard colors, such as a couple stripes of war paint on their helms. The name is probably going to be MenKurn, but I'm still playing with that. Thanks for the help so far!
