So just a few months ago I converted the following 2 WraithLORDs on Vyper jetbikes to represent my Saim-Hann WraithKnights

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F0rFvmIf8dc/VJBXEbplODI/AAAAAAAABCg/5O-NVQ-_k98/s1600/WraithKnights.jpg

With the added bulk of the Vyper, the "laser sight" above the single cannon and the sword, there was no issue with them representing WraithKnights.

However, with the changes to the WraithKnight rules (and the fact that I am not going to be "that guy" that fields 2 WKs), I don't think they fit very well anymore. This makes me very sad because I LOOOOVE these conversions; they are my favorite conversions ever.

So, does anyone have any ideas what I could use them as? I was thinking since the heavy Tanks are now 1-3 in a squadron, maybe I could use them as Fire Prisms/Night Spinners on the flank of my actual Prism/Spinner

First off, nice models and conversions!

The weapons would make them easy to identify as Fire Prisms. The problem is, they're much smaller, so I'm not sure your opponent will be very happy with them being hover tanks. Then again, if they were ok with those models representing Wraithknights, I don't see why not. After all, they are much, much smaller (in every dimension) than a WK.

You could always use them as Vypers.

Yeah just use them as Vypers I think.

They'd pass for Fire Prisms.

If you were ever play me, just tell me what they are, I wouldn't mind. Gorgeous paint scheme makes it a-OK

You could play them as a forgeworld warp hunter. It has a distortion weapon and is a skimmer.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

Since the WK was originally just double a WraithLord, mounting them on Vyper jetbikes and placing the stand so that the height is the same as the actual WK made the "smaller dimensions" issue non-existent. In fact, the height from the base made cover saves harder to get than the actual WK (but that was the plan, I actively avoid modelling for advantage).

I think the same thought process could be applied to make them Firm Prisms. The oval base is actually VERY close to the footprint of a grav-tank. Also, since T8 is equivalent to AV12 (for example, str 8 wounds/glances either on a 4+), having a Wraithlord on a jetbike could easily represent a grav-tank.

Likewise, having them represent Vypers would not work for me. They just have too much "extra" going on. Plus, I own 4 DE Venoms that are magnetized and can have Vyper weapons.

I have to say, you guys have made me feel a lot better about this, thanx

EDIT: I just realized the irony that I used to own 2 Fire Prisms, but got rid of them in favor of my original WK. Once I had the idea for these conversions, I decided to run 2 WK as my primary anti-tank. Now I may end up going back to using Fire Prisms. Especially since Hollofields are 5++ now, allowing the Prisms to not have to Jink.

Well it's a Wraithlord on a vyper so I would probably use it to represent...a Wraithlord or a vyper

A Wraithlord and a Vyper are two very different units. If I used them as Wraithlords, how could I explain the Vyper element and vise-versa? No, I think Fire Prisms are the way to go.

If I still had my "Wraith-construct" Tau count-as allies, this would be a good idea as well, but I only briefly experimented with Taudar:
