I currently have completely painted in my army:
20 fire warriors (2 squads of 10)
10 pathfinders (2 squads of 5)
3 crisis suits with plasma and fusion
1 battlesuit commander with cyclic ion blaster and plasma
1 sunshark bomber
1 riptide
1 devilfish
What should I add to get to 1500-2000 points? Looking for advice tactically (not too competitive). Just looking for any units that I have never thought of, or new combos. Thanks, any advice is much appreciated!

Are you going with any particular theme with your list? And also which book are you using, Farsight Enclaves or Codex Tau Empire?

Eldar?

Just add some of those Tau to an Eldar army. You'd probably be happier in the long run.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I have no theme and am using the regular tau codex. Sounds likes broadsides, kroot, and piranhas. What loadout for the piranhas? I already have fusion in my list.

I usually run three piranhas with two stock and one with a fusion. Probably not the best set up, but I love the models and they are fun to paint.

get some magnets, round 1mm x 3 mm are great for weapon options for crisis and the like, the piranha is easily magnetized too under the chin piece making the weapons interchangeable.

I personally go for dual of the same weapon type loadouts as it means each unit has a designated role and so doesn't end up wasting shots against a target which isn't really suitable.

Dual Missile Pods are always good for light Vehicle hunting and can also be effective against heavy infantry thanks to the high strength allowing for quite a few wounds which force saves. High range and mobility as well.

Dual plasma for Heavy infantry and monstrous creatures. Weaken them from long range before getting into rapid fire range to finish them off.

Dual Fusion for Tank hunting.

If you were playing Farsight Enclaves then a 3 man team with dual burst cannons and gun drones can be lethal to light infantry hordes but with normal Tau you don't really want more S5 shooting in the Elites slots when you can already get a lot of it in the troops slots. Same pretty much goes for flamers, though you can always add them onto other loadouts as overwatch weaponry.

You seem to be lacking anything in the heavy support slots, which together with elites has our best units. You could consider adding some broadsides, or a hammerhead. Some people even swear by sniper drones.
