This is just a place for me to share my conversions and
40k shenanigans.
I recently bought the Shield of Baal: Deathstorm boxed set and built everything from that and that kicked off my Blood Angels. I'm now going through another Blood Angel phase (just after recovering from a big Inquisition spend out) and was digging around in my bits boxes trying to find something usable and noticed that there's still a good bit of a dreadnought on that Furioso sprue after building Cassor. My idea is to (ideally using minimal bits from other kits) cobble together a Fragioso dreadnought from the bits left over and some plasticard.
Here goes...
The bits I'm using going left-to-right top-to-bottom: Frag cannon, Furioso sarcophagus, Furioso Librarian Force Weapon arm, three arm shield things, a smoke launcher, blood fist, a lamp-y thing, two leg plates.
Comparing the Librarian arm to a regular arm to see if it's roughly the right sort of size
The fist mounted to the arm.
Think of mounting a Blood Angel Tactical Squad Heavy Flamer to the power fist arm.
A Cyclone Missile Launcher with the missile nose cones removed for the main exhaust stack's body (photo shows size comparison, it's not perfect but it will do.)
Now I'm waiting on some fresh plasticard to arrive to actually get the main chassis built. I'll worry about trying to get something as complicated as the legs done when I'm done on the chassis, but I think this is a good start.
