For the past few days I've been searching for an airbrush to buy in the near'sh future. With the amount of Orks I intend to buy I don't want to prime and base them all by hand and I'm no fan of sinking money into spray cans. Also on larger flatter surfaces of vehicles I might doodle a bit with the airbrush. I got the cash to sink into paints and cleaners till I get my techniques right on some piece of scrap but I'm not looking to go over the top in price for a airbrush. I'm also avoiding too cheap of an airbrush and want to avoid plastic parts as much as possible, I'm in an isolated enough area that it takes a bit over a week for orders to make it here. I'm too new to be fidgeting with the nozzle so I want a dual action trigger and I'd prefer a gravity fed well so I can run at a lower pressure, keep my compressor longer (actually I'm looking to get a secondary regulator to release lower PSI while my tank is at higher PSI), and eliminate pulse.

There's a lot of choices to cover and I don't think I've gone through half of them out there. So far one has jumped out and grabbed my attention because it's the most affordable I found so far that has all the features I desire. Badger's Omni 4000. Thankfully I'm pretty meticulous about details like cleaning. Anyone know this model? Any thoughts? Does it last long? I've not covered all choices out there and I hear of a couple other companies to look into. Any recommendations? It would be easier then blindly googling my way about not knowing what names to look for.

It can be overwhelming sometimes....

Sounds like you want a mid range airbrush, though you might get addicted quick. I personally own a Harder and Steenbeck Silverline which is the top end of airbrushes.

Honestly, as much as you dont want to, i would DEFINITELY advise you to get one of a high quality, like Badger. It avoids the hassle of having to replace something if it goes wrong, and all good brands of airbrush all seem to be great.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!
