I just went looking for the small 7th edition rulebook on the games workshop website (y'know, the one that doesn't come with two other books), which I could have sworn had been released already. Please don't tell me it was a limited release.

Pretty sure it was in dark vengeance set.

At some point there was Rulebook separatly of thiose two other books with fluff and photoes.Not mini rulebook. And now it''s gone.

They did not sell mini rulebooks outside of starters and campain sets.

It was a small format hardcover.

But why would you want it? The softcover small format is way better -- it's thinner and lighter. And if you ask real nice, you can get one for free from someone (or pay $20 eBay)

Ah, did not realize there was a soft cover version. I've been out of the loop for a while. To ebay I must go.

It also comes with Dark Vengeance, Stormclaw, and Deathstorm -- If you want any of those models.

The mini and full size rule books are exactly the same, except size, and the paper is thinner (but still a very high quality full color gloss). Every single page, page number, and photograph between the covers is identical.

There was also, for a time, a full set of mini rulebooks (including the codices) in hardcover. Not sure of the point of it, as it was almost the same price as the full size ones (I think $10 less per book or so, and about $100 less per set?).

I would suggest checking on Ebay if you only want the rulebook

They're very common on eBay and about $30 USD.
