Hello All!

I stumbled upon Void Shield Generators in a forum, and found their idea to be awesome.
Further study shows that the rules are in 40k Stronghold.

My questions are as follows:
Are these rules allowed in all tourney's? or are they more or less house rules for private games?

Was there a 7th Ed release for Stronghold, or just that one Errata Page from GW?

Anything Special I need to know about the shields? Special models I need? (It seems implied I can make one myself, Any Size Requirements, aside from it being a building?)

I am also confused, as 6th ed, states it is 25pts per shield, but other sources points at 50pts per shield?

1500pts ||| WM-Cygnar:85pts (5casters) WM-Mercs: 25pts (1caster) ||| X-wing: 191pts Imp / 173pts Scum

Current Projects: Custom Tau Commander, Tau MG-Rex, Heavy Gear Army Building
Mech Fanatic: I Know about all sorts of mechs, and if I don't, I want to learn it.

The rules are in Escalation or Stronghold Assault IIRC. The model sold out in less than a day. I am sure a google search can help you with the dimensions. The LVO allowed it and there is an Ork series of battle reports in this forum where he used it.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

The void shield generator itself costs 50pts and supplies 1 shield. You can buy 2 further shields for 25pts each. That's where your confusion arises. There is no building to represent it so you must create your own. They are a legitimate 40k 'unit' and so allowed anywhere. If a tournament disallows them it is the tournament houseruling not the other way around.

THis thing.

Sold in seconds.

You can make your own a plenty as has been mentioned.

I personally have only seen them used a few times in a recent APoc match and a few times from this one Ork player (using those plasma ball toys as stand ins.).

They should be effective defensive tools.

"SIR! Are you sure this will work!?"
"I HAVE NO IDEA, PULL THE TRIGGER!!!" 91st comms chatter.
