ok, so I have been wanting to pick up some grotesques for my budding DE army. Basically, the actual model looks kinda silly, almost like a moonwalking monster holding a sword in front of him, and its finecast.

So I have been clicking around, and have found that the chaos spawn look promising. Basically use the talos/cronos/haemonculus masks for faces, and maybe add a few viles and other things around the model to make it look experimented upon. The main thing is, the legs are in a pose that are just standing still, and not sprinting towards the enemy ready to rip its face off.

If you have any idea please leave them here. I saw some really nice fantasy legs but don't know where they were from.

wait, if there are any chaos players out there, do the spawn come with running legs? because I was peaking around on the fantasy section of the webstore, and the 2 spawn in the fantasy photos, and they both had running legs, because if thats the case, the spawn themselves would work, with a little bit of online bits purchases.

Spares from the talos engine kit bashed with crypt horrors is the best I've seen, the parts go together really well.

the FW chaos ogryns would look the part as well, they have a bundle for it too at this time.

Dreamblade has tons of figs you can turn into Grotesques easily, and they are super cheap.

Also, if you wanted to make some grots to represent the Space Marine scouts the covens stole and warped into wolfen monsters, you can always pick up a couple Confrontation werewolves. Both of these options are $1-$2 a mini.

I don't like the chaos ogryns because they kinda look a little silly as grotesques IMO.

I was looking at chaos spawn and think it would be a really easy to convert (I am terrible at converting and kitbashing)
