Always loved the idea of building an imperial army with many different organisations included and with the release of the Skitarii, it was time to put the plan into action.

A bit of forewarning, I can be very slow at completing a model which is partly the reason why I am making this blog as hopefully it will give me the drive to speed up. I am also by no means an expert painter so no masterclass stuff here i'm afraid.

By the end of this blog I hope to achieve at least 2000 points consisting of:
Adeptus Astartes (Imperial Fists)
Astra Militarium (Cadian regiments)
Skitarii (Undecided heraldy)
Knights (House Marconn)
Inquisition

I also aim to upload a days progress which may end up being an update when I get the chance but it should let me see just how much progress I can make and inspire me to get more done although some days I just dont get the chance.

So to begin, this beautiful package just arrived today and is what I will be working through initially.

These Sternguard are what I have at the moment and should be the progress to show whilst I assemble the newbies.

There is also bare bones Knight but I will save that for when I start on him. I suppose that's it for today, hope you all enjoy this construction, C+C will be much appreciated here.

Yesterdays progress was slow but done the first of the yellow layer, watering the paints makes the layers more smooth right? I think I am getting the hang of watering my paints but initially it was either still gloopy or very runny. Think I have found the balance now.

I was out most of the day today so the only thing I managed to get done was to glue the Chaplain and then what a time to run out of glue. Had this one for ages as well, love the Revell stuff.

Edit: Almost forgot, my first ever Forge World purchase came in yesterday.

I was anxious at first on what I just spent my money on but damn am I converted, the detail is amazing, plus the Inquisition pin and Adeptus Mechanicus car stickers were a nice surprise. Doing these guys as a melee command squad for the Chaplain, these guys look absolutely badass and even though for the money they might not live up to the standard but I cant resist anything that looks badass.

Bit more progress yesterday, perhaps just one more yellow layer will do as I can still see areas of un-even coverage ever so slightly but looks done from a distance. Hope to have these two finished today.

Made sure the Knight skeleton was based ready for when I start it properly. Wont be touching it for a while I think.

So much for getting these 2 done and uploading progress every day . I have been painting bits every day just forget to show it

Allllmost finished, few details like the robes, parchments and shoulder trims left to do but nearly there, leaving the base for now as I want to do a red and rocky planet but apart from the martian ironearth, no idea what paints would be suitable for the rocks.

Looks like the modelling side of things is on hold at the moment after discovering the one model shop in my area that sold revell glue is now closed down and apparently has been closed for about 2 years; which just goes to show how long the last product lasted. Looks like im going to have to order some.

Although I do have super glue left so looks like the forgeworld models are next, need to pick up a cheap toothbrush to get scrubbin.
