I went to a bits sale at my local store and managed to finally pick up 7 warbikers. I might be able to get more, so I was wondering what numbers do people usually run their bikers at? I have some defcopters I can convert and I have a guy who is willing to sell me 12 more bikers. I don't want to over do it, but don't want to end up with too few so they are not effective.

Suggestions on biker mob size appriciated.

Currently one full size mob with PK Nob is great. Basically replaced NobBikers especially when you throw in DLS BikerBoss or Killsaw KFF BM on Bike and PainBoy on bike. Firepower is great, mobility is nice with an extra 1+ to over when you turbo boost. FNP on anything Str 9 and below.

You could also take mobs of 3 if you want but I prefer lone Defkoptas to that idea.

Depends... With zhadsnark you can have an entire list of bikers... Which could be awesome.

I have been using 5-7 Warbikerz with a Nob to bodyguard my KFF & Killsaw Big Mek, who is escorting my Boyz laden Battlewagons. This makes for a great counter-assault unit.

I've only used Zhadsnark once with a full Warbiker Mob once, and they got hung up on some invisible Hounds, so I really don't know how he works with a large Mob.

i have thought of doing my own warbiker hoard but all custom work with my own theme of mekanized forces.

for an idea of how many warbikers you should bring, try looking at the latest apocalypse books by gw and look at the speedfreeks formation there, if you ever wan to fill one try getting the basic requirements for this so that you can run it in the future for apocalypse.

I run the Zhadsnark list a lot..

It is one of the best lists for orks out there if not the only one.

Zhadsnark with 6 bikers

3x 6 bikers with a PK nob.

And then as backup 2x 10 Lootas

and then fill up the rest of your points with Dakkajets or Bully boyz.

Weaknesses are however,

ignore cover weapons, they usualy also ignore your armor,... bye bikers!

AP2 weapons... Lascannons, for example They murder your bullyboyz and wound your bikers quite easily

I like 5 in a unit with PK.

I'm not a fan of Deathstars (DeffStars?) but Zhadsnark w/ a Warboss on Bike, Painboy on Bike and 15 Warbikers could be extremely good (Skilled Rider and Scout from Zhadsnark, yeah those boyz will be in range of anything).

I got a decent deal on the bikes and a few other models, so now I have a total of 19 bikes. That will keep me busy painting for awhile anyhow. Thanks for all the replies.
