Subject: Do ork relic weapons replace weapons?

Under gifts of Gork and Mork, the codex doesn't state that the relics replace anything. But do they? If, for example, a big mek bought a kustom force field (which replaces his slugga) would he be able to take Da Dead Shiny Shoota? Another possible option: if a warboss takes Headwhoppa's Killchoppa, and kept his slugga, would he be able to use the slugga and choppa to gain the extra attack (as just regular attacks, of course).

If the book does not state you have to replace, then you don't have to replace.

Well you wouldn't get an extra attack for having a slugga and headwoppas kill choppa because it is a two handed melee weapon. But yes unless it says replace it with.... it doesn't replace it.

Unless it specifically says to replace something then you do not.
I believe in the case of the killchoppa, being two handed means you can never gain the bonus for two weapons. Cant hold the slugga and killchoppa at the same time.

an interesting interpretation of this is giving a mega armoured warboss the choppa of the ragnarork, then using the powerklaw to kill stuff until the choppa gets good enough to switch to (for initiative 4 insta-killy goodness!)

That is an interesting idea with the Ragnarork! And yes, a big choppa is two hands and he wouldn't get an extra attack. I meant using the regular choppa instead of the killchoppa to gain the extra attack, if there ever was a situation where you'd want to do that.

a warbos can even take mega armour and da killa klaw and get an extra attack because he has two specialist weapons (like how a buzzsaw can stack with a pk for the bigmek).
none of the relics say to replace anything, so i see it ass an extra weapon you can switch to whenever you want to.
